I moved to promoting CPA (cost per action) offers. CPA is like a fee that advertisers pay when people take an action such as entering their email or filling out a form.
At that time, I usually got paid about $1-2 per email. So, I started using paid traffic with this. It was the beginning of my paid-traffic journey!
**This was my first time using paid traffic. **I was new to the whole system. I didn’t know how it worked. But I knew I could understand it if I put my mind to it.
And I did. I finally got the hang of it. What I did was create a landing page that motivated people to take the action I was advertising. And I got paid for the traffic when visitors found my landing page and took the desired action.
When I finally got paid after my ads went up for the first time, I was so excited!
You should see the big smile that’s on my face as I write this. Remembering how much I made within that short period makes me happy!
After the ads went up, I was getting conversions almost every minute!
You can imagine how good that felt. I just kept on refreshing and refreshing the web browser to get updates on my latest sales. I had a really fun ride with this, I must tell you.
But here’s the thing. **Making money from CPA is not stable or reliable. **This is because the advertiser can suddenly wake up one morning and say,
“Hey, I don’t want to run this ad anymore…”
And boom, bye-bye revenue! Just like that.
The advertiser could remove their offer at any time, and all your revenue would disappear overnight. I would have to start looking for a brand-new offer to promote again and again.
No thanks!
You see, I actually lost money while I was promoting CPA offers, because I was new to paid traffic. It took time and money to learn about it. I had to think of something else to complement it!
Then I stumbled upon Fiverr, a freelancing community where buyers and sellers of services meet. I started working on Fiverr to find some money to pay for the paid traffic.
I was losing money. I had to do something else to make more money to pay for the paid traffic. Fiverr was my saving grace. I went back and forth between CPA and Fiverr. Fiverr was like a source of income I used to pay for my paid traffic.
