[PTE Ep.7] The traffic trick I almost gave up on (but it works)

Hello,

Back in February… I tried something new.

I started adding blog posts to my Shopify store.

I’d seen a bunch of smart SaaS builders on X (aka Twitter) talking about it.

They kept saying:

“Blog posts bring free traffic.”

And most of them build traffic using 3 main things:

  • pSEO
  • Web directories
  • Blog posts

We already covered the first two in this series:

✅ Smart collections for pSEO ✅ Web directories (with a little help from ChatGPT)

Now let’s talk blog posts.

What I Did Back in Feb

I opened up ChatGPT. I gave it some product links. I said:

Write a blog post called “Top 5 Gifts for Lawyers.”

Then I repeated that for 20 different niches.

Twenty posts. Boom. Done.

And then…

I stopped.

Why?

Because nothing happened.

No traffic. No clicks.

So I told myself,

“Maybe this doesn’t work for print-on-demand.”

Plus, I got a little lazy too 😅

But then…

A few weeks ago, I checked my Google Search Console.

And guess what?

Boom.

Some of those old blog posts were finally getting views.

If you look at the chart — March, April, May: basically nothing. Then in June… it started climbing.

One post pulled in 40 views by itself.

Not huge, but enough to prove something:

**Blog posts take time to work.** But they do work.

That was my wake-up call.

So now I’m back at it.

More posts. More traffic. More growth.

Let me show you how to do the same.

How to Write Blog Posts (Easy Mode)

Your store already has what it needs:

Collections. Products. Niches.

Now we just turn that into blog content.

Here’s the easy way:

  1. Pick a collection (e.g. Gifts for Lawyers)
  2. Pick 5–10 products from that collection
  3. Open ChatGPT
  4. Paste in the URLs
  5. Use the prompt like this:

Act as a top SEO writer. Write a blog post using the collection link, product links and information below.

Colection link: [Collection Link]

Product links: [PRODUCT LINKS]

The topic is about gift ideas for lawyers, but you decide the best SEO-friendly title based on the content.

Make the article at least 2000 words, optimized for SEO, and easy to read. Use proper HTML structure including:

  • One clear

    for the title.

  • Multiple

    and

    sections to organize content.

  • Naturally include relevant buyer-intent keywords like “gifts for lawyers,” “law school graduation gifts,” “funny lawyer mugs,” “unique legal gifts,” and similar phrases throughout the post.

The content should include:

  • An engaging intro that talks about why finding a good gift for lawyers can be tricky or meaningful.
  • A list of 5–10 gift recommendations based on the product links (one section per product).
  • For each product: include a short description, why it’s a great gift for lawyers, and link back to the product page.
  • A brief conclusion with a call to action encouraging readers to explore the full collection or make a purchase

Make it sound human, helpful, and fun, but still optimized to rank well on Google.

(Change “Lawyer” words to your niche.)

Let ChatGPT do its thing.

Copy the result into your Shopify blog.

Done.

Why This Works (Especially for POD)

SaaS builders do this all the time. But YOU have a secret advantage.

You sell products that general people are searching for. And you’ve got buyer-intent keywords like:

“Funny nurse mugs” “Retirement gifts for engineers” “Cat ornaments for teachers”

When someone Googles that… Your blog post could show up.

And inside that post?

Links to your products. So Google can find them too. And your visitors can click straight to buy.

Bonus: You’re Training ChatGPT (without even trying)

Here’s something most people miss…

Every time you ask ChatGPT to write a post, You’re teaching it about your store.

It sees your products. It reads your descriptions. It gets smarter about your niche.

Then later — When someone else asks ChatGPT,

“What’s a good gift for an Engineer?”

Your store might be in the answer.

That’s not theory. It’s real.

I got another sale from ChatGPT just last week. No ads. No social posts. Just AI magic.

One More Thing…

You know I’m a big fan of AI + automation.

So I’m building a new tool called BlogneticAI.

It turns your product links + collections into SEO-optimized blog posts.

(Yes, the name is Blog + Magnetic + AI. Clever, right? 😎)

It’s not live yet. Still cooking.

But if you want to be one of the first testers when it’s ready, just reply:

I want to test BlogneticAI!”

I’ll send you the link when it’s ready.

What Should You Do Now?

Start small.

Write one blog post today using ChatGPT. Another next week.

Let them stack.

Each one is like a little worker. No lunch breaks. No salary. Just pulling in traffic 24/7.

It won’t blow up overnight. But it will grow. Just like your POD Traffic Engine.

Stay consistent.

You’ve got this.

P.S. I think I’ll keep writing this series a bit longer. There’s still more I want to share, new experiments, new results.

Do you like this series?

Let me know. Just hit reply and say, **“**Keep it going!”

Every message gives me the fuel to keep writing 💪
