Create & Publish Products to Marketplaces

Okay, now you’ve got everything you need. You’ve got the types of products to create, the designs you need to make, and the list of keywords.

The next thing to do is to create and publish them to the marketplaces.

Below are just a few things needed to publish a product to the marketplaces:

  • Product mockup image
  • Product title (done in the previous step)
  • Product tags (done in the previous step)
  • Product description and features

Most of the marketplaces like Amazon, Etsy, Bonanza, and Storenvy only need these things to publish a product.

So let’s get started with the first one, the product mockup image.

The product mockup image is essentially the image of the real product, such as a coffee mug with your design on it.

Many suppliers, such as Gearbubble and Printful, offer the option to create a product mockup image for free. You just have to create a product and upload your design to your system.

This is the example of how to create a product in Gearbubble. You just have to select a product you want and insert the design.

Then the system will render the design with the product and make it look real, like this.

Your product mockup image is now ready. You can use this image to create a product in the marketplaces.

Next, for the product description and features, these are another important thing in the marketplaces.

Apart from adding the focus keyword in the product title and tags, adding the main keyword in the product description and features is another thing that will help you improve your product’s SEO in both marketplaces and Google search rankings.

So if you’re listing products in the Mother’s Day niche, you should add the focus keywords about mom to the product description and features as well.

Let’s now look at the product description and features of this product as an example:

You can see that this seller added some focus keywords like “gift for mom”, “mom mug”, “mother’s day”, “fun gifts for men women”, etc. to the product description and features.

This product is one of the top-selling mugs for the keyword “mom mug” on Amazon.

And that’s all there is to it. You now understand what important things to do when creating a product in the marketplace.

But as we are selling the POD products using the low-hanging style, so we need to list tons of products to make consistent income.

If you have to think about the product title and tags and insert all this product info one by one, it will consume lots of your time.

Let’s say it takes 10 minutes to list a product in one marketplace. It could take over 16 hours to upload 100 products a day.

So what I usually do is create a template for my product titles and tags using Microsoft Excel.

My Excel template will look like this for the product title:

The first part of the product title will be the primary keywords, or the group of the keywords that we want to rank. The quote will be located in the middle of the product title, and the secondary keywords will be added after the quote.

If the length of the product title is longer than 140 characters, I’ll remove some of the words from the quote to make it shorter.

For the product tags or keywords, I also create the Excel template to make the list of keywords quick.

Like this:

This is the product tag template that I use to create the list of keywords in multiple niches. This can be used when you create a list of products that have the same quote, but multiple niches.

If we have to create a list of keywords for all niches manually without using the template like this, it will take a very long time to list all of the products.

You can click here to download an example of the Excel template file. You can use it to prepare the product info by yourself or you can also pass it to your virtual assistant to work faster for you.

Okay, with this template technique, you will be able to list the products a little bit faster.

I have another technique that allows you to get this done much faster than doing it manually.

We will use the automated tool “PODTurbo”.

PODTurbo is developed by my team. We want to save the cost of hiring a virtual assistant to upload products for us. We also don’t want to have the same mistakes that might be caused by a VA as well.

For example, some of my products don’t have the right product title I want or my VA forgot to insert the focus keyword in the product description and features.

With PODTurbo, all of these problems will be eliminated and we can get the work done faster. We don’t need to wait for our VA to do the work. The system will replace the VA and get things done automatically and correctly.

This is the sample CSV file of some products that we will publish using PODTurbo.

This CSV file contains:

[product_name] – The product title that will be used when you create the product in marketplaces.

[niche_keyword] – ONE keyword that will be used to replace {NICHE} in the category template.

[keywords] – The keyword list that will be inserted in the product keywords or tags in the marketplaces.

[price] – The price of the product.

[front_image_filename] – The filename of the design that will be used to create the product. This will be used for the front side of the product.

[back_image_filename] – This is the same as the [front_image_filename], but it will be used on the back side of the product.

[category/subcategory/color] – This is the product type and details.

After uploading the CSV and designs to the PODTurbo, the system will automatically create the product mockup images for you.

You just have to click “Publish” and then the system will schedule the time to publish products to all of the connected marketplaces automatically.

Just the same way we hire the virtual assistant to do the work but it’s automated.

If you seriously want to build your print-on-demand business, I highly recommend you get this powerful automated tool.

What do you have to do after finishing this module?

You understand all the processes of building a print-on-demand business already. Now it’s time to take action seriously and consistently.

If you really want to crush sales for this upcoming Mother’s and Father’s day, now is the time to start creating some designs for these two niches, put them into products, and publish them to many marketplaces starting from Amazon and Etsy.

You have to set a goal to upload the number of products daily or weekly, starting as soon as you can.

10 products per day.

50 products per day.

100 products per day.

It depends on the amount of time you have for this business.

If you don’t have much time, try to set up the team or use the automation tool to do the work for you.

When I hired two virtual assistants to do the work for me, they uploaded 150 products per day; or 750 products per week for me.

I started seeing sales consistency after I had a few winning products.

Notice: I didn’t say “the number of products I have” because it actually not depends on the number of products.

To make a consistent income, it depends on the number of winning products you have.

But, you still have to list tons of products, keep checking the stats, and find what most people will buy.

Okay, that’s all for this module. It’s time to take action seriously and consistently!
