You’re getting this email because you’ve signed up for my AI Mini-Course. Welcome to TAIL (Tiny AI Lab), my exclusive newsletter where I share my nerdy thoughts with my fellow nerds.
Hello,
I just chatted with my CTO yesterday.
He brought up something cool: Microsoft AutoGen.
I’ll just call it AutoGen.
He said, “This is super interesting and it’s the next level of using AI.”
Now, no need to worry about the details just yet.
Let me tell you a story about my print-on-demand business to paint the bigger picture.
As you might know, I’ve been building my Shopify store for a year now.
I’ve done it all by myself, using AI tools like MidJourney for designs and ChatGPT for product descriptions and ads. I even run Facebook Ads solo to promote my products.
Guess what? My store made over $300k in sales in the first year—just me, spending a few hours a week optimizing ads.
But the tasks I do are pretty repetitive, like:
- Product research
- Designing
- Making product mockups
- Adding products to the store
- Testing with Facebook Ads
I don’t do this every day. I dive in for 2-3 days, launch the ads, and then check in a couple of times a week. When I find winning products, I just scale the ads, and that only takes a few minutes.
Facebook is smarter now (and pricier too).
But I don’t want to launch new products every day or week.
I’ve already got steady sales with just a few hours of work each week.
Sure, I could make more sales if I tested more products, but that takes too much time.
Plus, I’m not keen on building a team to handle it.
Growing up, I realized I’m not great at working with others.
So, being tiny works for me, and I like it that way.
When my CTO told me about AutoGen, it was like a light bulb went off.
AutoGen is like having AI Agents do the work for you.
Right now, we use ChatGPT, but we have to control everything ourselves, going back and forth to get what we need.
If I break down my tasks, I’d need a few departments:
- Product research and design
- Product management
- Ads management
All of these tasks can be handled by AI.
I already use AI for a lot of this, but I still do some manual work, like:
- Taking designs from MidJourney and making mockups.
- Using ChatGPT for writing product descriptions and pasting them into Shopify.
- Getting product URLs to create ads on Facebook.
It’s not 100% automated yet.
With AutoGen, I can create AI Agents for each department.
They can talk to each other and get the work done without me having to jump in (but I can if I want to).
Sounds like a dream for an introverted entrepreneur like me, right?
But building it isn’t easy. AutoGen has tutorials you can check out here -> https://microsoft.github.io/autogen/docs/Getting-Started
Yesterday, I read some tutorials and wanted to share what I did.
I used AI to plot the stock prices of NVDA and TESLA.

It was amazing! I followed the tutorial and created one agent to grab data from Yahoo Finance and another to write the code for the graph.
There’s even a tutorial that shows how to create two AI agents that pretend to be someone and chat.
So, I made two agents that acted like Alex Hormozi and Alex Becker, and they talked about Crypto — hilarious!

Hormozi AI asked Becker AI about investing in Crypto, and Becker AI replied,
“Well, you’re missing out on the rocket ship to the moon, Hormozi!”.
So funny lol
It was a blast! I still have more tutorials to go through. I think this is super powerful, and if you have a chance, you should learn it too.
It’s not super hard. For the screenshots above, I just copy-pasted the code from the tutorials.
Sometimes the code doesn’t work right away, so we need to tweak it.
Did I do that myself?
Nope! I asked ChatGPT to fix it.
I copied the code to ChatGPT with the error I got and asked it to fix it for me.
Then I copied the revised code back in and ran it again.
If it didn’t work, I just kept asking ChatGPT until it did.
Learning to code these days is pretty easy.
Alright, this is the first issue of the TAIL newsletter.
I hope it’s helpful for you and that you enjoy it.
Let me know what you think. If you like it, I’ll write the next issue.
If I don’t hear back, I’ll wonder if it’s too nerdy 😄
Talk soon,
—Bank K.
P.S. Funny story: The first question I asked ChatGPT was whether the code in AutoGen is Python. I also asked how to insert my OpenAI key.

This is what it said:

See? It’s not hard to get started!
P.P.S. Oh, I almost forgot! OpenAI just released something called “Canvas” too. It makes coding easier. Check it out here -> https://openai.com/index/introducing-canvas/
I played around with it a bit, and it’s quite useful. I’ll dive into more AutoGen tutorials tomorrow using Canvas and share my findings with you later.
