If you want to make it big as a POD seller, you can’t fool around with Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. They’re probably the most important dates – if not THE most important dates – on the holiday calendar. I have made tons of money just from selling products for these two days alone.
Let me start with Mother’s Day.
Preparing for **Mother’s Day **requires planning. When I was starting, I knew that a lot of people search for gifts for their beloved Moms and Grandmas, so I didn’t want to miss my chance to put as much product as possible out there.
So, I started by listing a lot of products on Amazon and Etsy. You should know by now that these are the two marketplaces where every POD seller must list their products.
They enjoy an extremely high number of visits daily and attract ready buyers. That’s why they’re the perfect place to find buyers who are looking for unique Mother’s Day gifts.
After listing my products, I began to enjoy massive sales within a few days. But I realized that some of my products were selling better and faster than others.
After checking my sales statistics, I learned that my best-selling product was a plain coffee mug with a funny quote. It had a black design on a transparent white background.
So I picked that product and decided to sell it on Facebook. I scaled it using Facebook Ads – and guess what?
I sold over 12,000 units on Mother’s Day!
Amazing, right?
That’s the power of planning and scaling.
I used the same model for Father’s Day. I also listed as many products on Amazon and Etsy as I could. Once again, I reviewed my sales stats and found a product that was performing better than the others.
I made some tweaks to that winning product. This time, I added a more personal touch to it. I added a “Name” part to the design so that sons or daughters can put their names on the mug. Cute or what?
The design was still plain text. Simple but effective.
Then it was scaling time!
I scaled the product by promoting them using Facebook Ads. And again, I sold over 12,000 units on Father’s Day.
Like I said, if you plan properly and play your scaling cards right, you can end up with similar results.
